Dura commenced operations in Holland in 1855, where the business still continues to play a strong role in the European construction market. Dura’s Australian operations commenced in 1950 and have successfully operated throughout Victoria since.During the 1990’s, through an employee ownership incentive scheme, Dura become a solely Australian owned and operated business, which has since provided sound business results over many years for its Australian owners.
Dura’s core business within the Victorian construction market is in greenfield construction and refurbishment construction works across many industry sectors, including education, civic / municipal, health / aged care and industrial. These works also encompass all associated elements to the construction process, including civil and landscaping works, ovals, playgrounds and other key infrastructure.

Occupational Health & Safety
Dura have established a detailed safety management system that meets and exceeds all statutory and regulatory requirements. Modelled from the Master Builders Association of Victoria’s system, our management system is under constant review and is regularly updated as risk mitigation measures are further refined and as regulations change from time to time.
As a result of the application of these intricate systems, Dura’s Occupational Health & Safety records evidence the success of our site safety management system.
The Environment
Dura is aware that its service to clients should be environmentally friendly. The reduction of pollutants into the air, land and waterways is our principal objective. We are progressively working towards a steady decrease in the waste production in our projects, through a systematic approach to recycling and reuse of resources.
Dura is committed to constant environmental monitoring through its own environmental management program in accordance with Australian and International standards. We are consistently working towards achieving our objectives in our environmental management program and at the same time looking for new ways in which to improve the delivery of the project.
